To provide a koto (Japanese harp) string spreading device capable of easily spreading strings to the koto of various types.
The spreading device for the koto strings having a means for mounting and holding the strings to the koto and a means for taking up the strings has a means for turning the taking-up segments of the device to the koto, a means for pressing and holding the tensed strings and a means for sliding the pressed segments in this means for pressing and holding.
