Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a KOTO(Japanese harp) having good portability and handling property.
CONSTITUTION: This KOTO is reduced in the longitudinal size L and transverse size W of a sound chamber 11 at a ratio different from the ratio of the conventional KOTO. Respective strings 14 (14A to 14M) are open strings and both ends of the respective strings are held discretely fixed. The sound chamber 11 is provided with a position display 50 indicating the erecting positions of bridges 15 at side shell 11B. A upper shell 11A is provided with name displays of the respective string 14. Upper legs 17 are retractable from the body 11.
