Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain L-α-glycerophosphoric acid oxidase having a Km value of as low as about 3.2mM and useful as an enzymatic reagent for the determination of minor component, by culturing microorganisms belonging to Aerococcus genus.
CONSTITUTION: Microorganism belonging to Aerococcus genus and capable of producing L-α-glycerophosphoric acid oxidase, e.g. Aerococcus viridans IFO 12219, Aerococcus viridans IFO 12317, etc. is inoculated in a nutrient medium and cultured at 25W37°C for about 10W48hrs. The objective L-α-glycerophosphoric acid oxidase can be separated mainly from the cell of the cultured microorganism.
