Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED drive circuit capable of ensuring the surge breakdown voltage, without requiring a special circuit block additionally.SOLUTION: An LED array connecting a plurality of LEDs 131, 141 in series is divided into a plurality of partial LED arrays 13, 14, a bypass circuit 16 is provided at the connection of the partial LED arrays 13, 14, and a current limit circuit 12 used conventionally, and limiting a current flowing to the partial LED in the final stage is arranged on the downstream side of a bypass circuit 16. The surge breakdown voltage is substantially equal to the total value of the forward voltage of a partial LED, the source-drain breakdown voltage of a FET161 and the source-drain breakdown voltage of a FET121.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
