Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED driving device that allows performing fine dimming control while flicker is hard to be felt by a user even in a dark region having a deep dimming degree.SOLUTION: An LED driving device 1 performs dimming operation of an LED module 10 according to a dimming signal Sd outputted from a dimming control section 3. The dimming control section 3 switches an adjustment range and change characteristics of an output current Io to the dimming signal Sd by controlling an operating state of a second current setting circuit 6 provided in a step-down converter circuit section 2, and performs control that fixes the level of a PWM signal Spwm that is based on the dimming signal Sd to a high level or a low level or control that repeats on/off operation of the second current setting circuit 6 at a predetermined cycle until the dimming signal Sd reaches a predetermined target value after the switching.
