To provide a label medium and a printer for forming a label which can easily unify the directions in which the label is held to an adherend while maintaining the appearance of the label.SOLUTION: A label 61 includes a first display unit 521, a second display unit 522, a first connection unit 531, a second connection unit 532, a first insertion unit 541, a second insertion unit 542, and an edge identification unit 56. The first display unit 521, the second display unit 522, the first connection unit 531, and the second connection unit 532, the first insertion unit 541, and the second insertion unit 542 are arranged in positions line-symmetric to the virtual line 550. The edge identification unit 56 is arranged in a position of the label 61 held by the adherend K which is hidden behind the display unit 52 or the connection unit 53 and is thus not seen from a user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
