PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily confirm whether characters are input appropriately for the size of a printing area at a time of editing a label by inputting printing items using a label format.SOLUTION: A label printer is configured so as to display a relation between input characters by character input operation and a size to which a printing area corresponding to editing target printing items in a confirmation target label format on a character input screen in accordance with an operation for selecting the label format is performed in a state in which the character input screen is displayed.
