Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label printer capable of preventing a label sheet from being wound by a platen roller and starting printing in a short time.SOLUTION: A label printer 100 issues a sheet-like label by feeding a sheet from a sheet roll in which a belt-like sheet is wound having a glue surface on one surface and a printing surface on the other surface. The label printer 100 has: conveying means such as a feed roller 7; a printing unit 3 composed of a thermal head 3a and a platen roller 3b; and a control unit for controlling the conveying means so that a tip part 4t of the sheet fed from the sheet roll is made to be on standby at a standby position at an upstream side in a sheet conveying direction from a position in which the thermal head 3a and the platen roller 3b press the sheet by a predetermined nip width.
