Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label printer capable of preventing occurrence of skew beforehand by performing skew correction with high accuracy regardless of a type of a roll label paper.SOLUTION: The label printer includes a movement adjusting mechanism consisting of a movement mechanism and a rolling mechanism in which a paper feeding part 102 variably adjusts a paper feed position of a roll label paper 101 in a left and right direction and variably adjusts a paper feeding angle. A control part (not shown in figures) provided in a printer body controls a driving mechanism for driving the movement adjusting mechanism in accordance with a calculation result of a moving amount and an angle-change amount of the paper feeding part 102 on the basis of a displacement width and a conveyance distance when the displacement width of skew, which occurs at the time of conveying the label paper 101 and detected by a sensor of a recording head of a carriage 110 as skew detecting means, exceeds a predetermined threshold value. The control part changes the paper feed position by moving the paper feeding part 102 to an opposite direction to a displacement direction and also changes the paper feeding angle of the paper feeding part 102. The control part returns the position and the angle of the paper feeding part 102 to a specified value when the displacement width is eliminated.
