Abstract:
This label transport device is provided with: a printing label transport unit that transports a label for printing, which is formed by sticking a front surface-side label to a rear surface-side label, in conjunction with a printing operation of a printing device that performs printing on the label for printing; a label release mechanism that releases the outer edge of the rear surface-side label such that an inner portion of the front surface-side label and the rear surface-side label is separated from the label for printing as a label; a label mount transport unit that transports said released outer edge; and a controller that drives the label mount transport unit asynchronously from the printing label transport unit so that the label for printing and the outer edge are in a slackened state except during the release of the outer edge.
