Abstract:

PURPOSE: To stick the labels on curved circumferential surfaces of photographic film cartridges at a high speed by a method wherein the cartridges are in turn brought in contact with labels and two or more label pressers which are hanged down toward a transfer path along which the cartridges supported on palettes are conveyed.
CONSTITUTION: When labels 20 are attached, a label tape 17 with release paper 19 is drawn out and turned to the tip of an edge member 25. The end of the release paper 19 is rolled up to hang down a sheet of the label 20 from the tip of the edge member 25. A photographic film cartridge 32 is supported on a palette 11 by support members 42, 43a and 44a and conveyed. A front side 33a of the cartridge 32 is firstly brought in contact with an adhesive layer of the label 20 and a first label press roll 70 as the cartridge 32 is conveyed. Thereby, the label 20 is pressed on the front side 33a of the cartridge 32. Then, the cartridge 32 is brought in contact with second and fourth rolls in turn so that the label 20 is pressed on upper, rear and curved parts 33b, 33c and 33d of the cartridge 32 in order.
