PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laboratory device and a sample holder capable of performing an experiment where an organic-tissue slice sample may be easily moved maintaining biological activity without causing physical damage.
SOLUTION: When an experiment is performed, a slice sample 3 together with a sample holder 4 is mounted in a laboratory bath 2 where a physiological saline 1 circulates. After the experiment, the slice sample 3 is taken out together with the sample holder 4. Since the slice sample 3 is moved together with the sample holder 4, the slice sample 3 may be moved easily without causing physical damage. Since the transparency of a membrane filter 4B is improved when it is soaked in the physiological saline 1 and a bottom of the laboratory bath 2 is constructed of a transparent glass plate 8, it is possible to perform an observation experiment using a transmitted light maintaining good biological activity of the sliced sample 3 by irradiating a transmitted illumination light from below the laboratory bath 2. Also, since a height of the sample holder 4 is small, an experiment operation may be performed easily in a state that the slice sample 3 is being held in the sample holder 4.
