To provide a lacquered Japanese paper which makes a desired picture or pattern or the like clearly raised without spoiling the excellent texture of a Japanese paper, and can be utilized in wide fields such as a decorative material and a wall paper, and to provide its manufacturing method.
This lacquered Japanese paper has a printed surface on which a desired picture or pattern is printed on the front surface of the Japanese paper, and also, has a lacquer layer which is formed by lacquer-treating the top of the printed surface. In this case, the Japanese paper is treated with a persimmon juice, and the rear surface of the lacquered Japanese paper is backed with a backing sheet. This manufacturing method for the lacquered Japanese paper has the process in which the desired picture or pattern is printed on the front surface of the Japanese paper, and the process in which the printed surface is lacquer-treated, and each process is in-line-systematized, and is continuously mechanically produced.
