Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress propagation of an aerobic bacterium and butyric acid bacterium in preparing a silage and obtain an excellent silage by adding a specific microorganism having heat resistance and/or acid resistance to a raw material grass.
SOLUTION: This method for preparing a silage compress obtaining a microorganism belonging to the genus Pediococcus e.g. Pediococcus sp. LA3 (FERM P-16549) or Pediococcus sp. LA35 (FERM P-16548) capable of growing in the range of pH 3.5-4.5 and/or at 45-50°C from forage crops and a rumen, and adding the microorganism to a raw material grass.
