To provide a lactic acid-based polymer excellent in hydrolysis resistance and use thereof, and especially to provide an environmentally compatible coating agent that reduces environmental load upon disposal, such as incineration and landfill while having performance equivalent to a conventional environmentally incompatible coating agent and a coated product using the same.
In the lactic acid-based polymer, polylactic acid skeletons are mutually connected through a joint moiety derived from a functional group. The environmentally compatible coating agent includes a copolymer of a monomer free from hydrolyzability and a lactic acid macromonomer as a film-forming component. A copolymerization rate of the lactic acid macromonomer is 5-95 wt.%. The coated product is obtained when the environmentally compatible coating agent is coated on the surface thereof.
