To provide a microbial strain of Lactobacillus paracasei subsp. paracasei of a new type, having evident difference from the conventional one.

The Lactobacillus paracasei subsp. paracasei (SG96) of the new type, the microbe-inhibiting composition containing the subsp. paracasei, and the application thereof are provided. The strain including the Lactobacillus paracasei subsp. paracasei (SG96) is deposited in China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center (CGMCC) as an accession number of CGMCC 2697, and has effects for inhibiting or sterilizing the growth of a germ such as Escherichia coli and Salmonella. The microbe-inhibiting composition is used as a form of an additive for animal drinking water, an additive for animal feed, a medicinal composition for animals and human beings, a food additive, a beverage additive, a food, a beverage, a healthy food or the like.
