To provide a ladder tumbling preventive instrument which can positively fix a ladder to an object on which the ladder is set, without pinching a protrusion of the object.
According to the structure of the ladder tumbling preventive instrument, a movable arm 20 which is vertically rotatable is abutted on the protrusion 4 of the object or a building 3 from below, and therefore the ladder 1 is fixed to the building 3, which leads to positive prevention of the ladder 1 from tumbling, to thereby ensure safe work by using the ladder 1. More specifically, the ladder 1 can be fixed to the object or the building only if the object or the building has a portion on which the movable arm 20 is abutted from below. Therefore, unlike a ladder tumbling preventive instrument which is constructed so as to pinch the protrusion 4 from above and below, the present ladder tumbling preventive instrument is not limited with respect to its use depending on the thickness of the protrusion 4, and the protrusion 4 of the building is prevented from application of useless pinching force.
