Abstract:
PURPOSE: To constitute a ladle cover attaching/detaching device simple and in small size by including no mechanism to travel in the horizontal direction.
CONSTITUTION: The device 1 is provided with a frame 2 rigidly mounted on a foundation 45 which horizontally crosses over a ladle 47, a hoist mechanism 10 mounted on the frame 2, an elevation frame 20 to be elevated by the hoist mechanism 10, a tong opening/closing mechanism 30 mounted on the elevation frame 20, a pair of tongs 28... to hold the upper frame 41 of a ladle cover 40 to be opened/closed by the tong opening/closing mechanism 30.
