Title:
LADLE AND METHOD FOR FEEDING MOLTEN METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1147905
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladle for feeding a molten metal in which no molten metal is leaked during the transfer, the occurrence of internal oxide is prevented and the flow rate of the molten metal to be poured into an injection sleeve can be arbitrarily controlled. SOLUTION: A ladle 100 for feeding a molten metal is provided with a molten metal storage chamber 110 in which the molten metal is stored and a conduit 112 commonly used for suction/ discharge of the molten metal, extending in the vertical direction passing through the horizontal bottom surface of the chamber and in which the outside diameter is smaller than the inside diameter of the bottom surface. The ladle 100 is formed in an inverse recessed shape by a horizontal disk 114a whose the diameter is larger than its outside diameter and a cylindrical weir plate 114b which is suspended around the outer circumference of the horizontal disk 114a, a shielding plate 114 to cover an upper end opening part is fixed to the molten metal storage chamber 110 via a prescribed clearance at an upper part of the upper end opening part of the conduit 112, a lid plate 118 to cover the upper end opening part through a sealing material 117 is provided, a suction pipe 120 to suck gas in the molten metal storage chamber 110 passing through the lid plate 118 is connected to the molten metal storage chamber 110, a vacuum suction device 130 is connected to the suction pipe 120 by interposing an opening/closing valve 120a and a tilting and transfer means which is connected to an inert gas feed device 180 is provided in the middle of the suction pipe 120.
