To reuse a gas blowing plug and to improve the number of uses by restraining the penetration of molten metal into the gas holding plug at the time of moving a ladle.
In this ladle 1 for molten metal, a circuit constituted of a gas cylinder 3 for pressure accumulation, an air operated valve 8 for pressure accumulation therein, a throttle valve for controlling flow rate of the gas from the cylinder 3 and a shuttle valve 7 for executing the change-over of the flow passage with the gas pressure difference are provided to prevent the penetration of the metal into the gas blowing plug 2 at the time of moving the ladle. By this constitution, the gas cylinder 3 and the special circuit for accumulating the pressure into this cylinder are used and the gas accumulating the pressure with the gas cylinder 3 is supplied into the gas blowing plug 2 even at the time of shifting, and the penetration of the molten metal into gas blowing plug 2 can be restrained. Therefore, the gas blowing plug 2 can be reused and improved in the number of uses.
