A ladle 1 is provided with metal support fittings 5 and 6 for mounting a transfer device, which are fitted with a vessel 2 made of ceramic material for accommodating a molten metal. The ladle 1 is characterized in that at least a part of component members for the metal support fittings 5 and 6, which abut against the vessel 2 made of ceramic material, is a cast member. Preferably, in the ladle, at least a part of component members for the metal support fittings 5 and 6, which abut against the vessel 2 made of ceramic material, is the cast member and an inorganic cushioning material is held between the cast member and the vessel 2.
