Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a laminate, which can achieve thinness of a backlight device, reduce the number of processes for manufacturing the backlight device, increase light utilization efficiency, and inhibit a tint of a peripheral portion of the laminate from contrasting with a tint of a center portion of the laminate, in emission.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a laminate includes the steps of: forming a lens layer 22 having multiple unit lenses 24, on a first surface of a first light transmissive substrate 21, and integrating the first light transmissive substrate 21 with the lens layer 22; before or after forming the lens layer 22 on the first surface of the first light transmissive substrate 21, disposing a coating 35 of a composition for an optical wavelength conversion layer including a curable host matrix precursor 32 and quantum dots, the disposition being made on a second surface 21B opposite the first surface of the first light transmissive substrate 21; and curing the coating 35 of the composition for an optical wavelength conversion layer, to form the optical wavelength conversion layer, and integrating the first light transmissive substrate 21 with the optical wavelength conversion layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
