Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the performance which is excellent in wear resistance, chemical resistance, transparency, weatherability, and water resistance by coating a base material with a cured film consisting of a specific coating compsn. and further providing an antireflection coating thin film consisting of an inorg. material on the surface of this cured film. CONSTITUTION:The transparent plastic base material L 1 is coated with the compsn. essentially consisting of a multifunctional monomer or prepolymer having >=2 pieces of (meth) acrylic group in one molecule, (uretlane(meth) acrylate having >=1 pieces of (meth) acrylic group, fine particles of silica having 1 to 100 micron grain size, and a silane compd. having >=1 polymerizable reaction groups and is subjected to a combination of UV curing and thermal curing to completely cure the film. Further, the antireflection coating thin film M 1 consisting of an SiO2 layer 1, a ZrO2 layer 2, an SiO2 layer 3, a ZrO2 layer 4, and an SiO2 layer 5 is provided on the surface of this cured film H 1. Thus, the excellent surface having the higher hardness and the excellent durability are obtd. and the antireflection working is attained.
