Abstract:
To provide a laminated busbar for interconnecting packs of prismatic electrical cells within a module from a battery.SOLUTION: Cells are organized into groups 30, and each group has the same number of cells 22. A laminated busbar 100 includes at least one conductive element 112. Each conductive element includes: a first conductive layer 110 configured to electrically connect electrodes 28 of two adjacent groups of cells; a first insulating layer 130 laminated on the first conductive layer; and a first electrical connector 114 configured to connect to a first group 30A of cells. The laminated busbar includes: a second conductive layer 140 laminated on the first insulating layer and including a second electrical connector 142 configured to connect to a last group 30B of cells; and a third electrical connector 144. The first insulating layer has a cutout window 134 configured to permit electrical connection between the last group of cells and the second electrical connector.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
