PURPOSE: To reduce a coil in width by half keeping its function as prescribed so as to lessen a laminated chip transformer in thickness by a method wherein the coil is split into two pieces, and the two split coils are disposed laterally side by side and connected as required.
CONSTITUTION: Magnetic sheets of Ni-Zn ferrite are laminated into a laminated magnetic body 10, a first coil group buried in the magnetic body 10 is composed of concentrically disposed coils 11 and 12 of 6 turns and 4 turns respectively, a second coil group also buried in the magnetic body is composed of concentrically disposed coils 21 and 22 of 6 turns and 4 turns respectively, and the first and the second coil group are arranged side by side in a lateral direction. The coils 11 and 12 and the coils 12 and 22 are mutually connected together through the intermediary of conductive patterns and through-holes formed on a magnetic sheet so as to make the direction of the magnetic flux which passes through the coils 11 and 12 identical to that of the other magnetic flux which passes through the coils 21 and 22 in a closed magnetic circuit, wherein the direction of the former magnetic flux is opposite to that of the latter magnetic flux. The coils are printed as conductor patterns on a magnetic sheet by printing or the like.
