Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated filter medium and a filter element excellent in filtration efficiency and filtration lifetime and excellent also in the degree of freedom of shape design and to provide a method for manufacturing these.
SOLUTION: The laminated filter medium is a laminated filter medium comprising alternately stacked nonwoven fabric layers and fusion-bonded layers containing a fusion-bonded resin and the filtration surface of the laminated filter medium consists of both the nonwoven fabric layers and the fusion-bonded layers. The laminated filter medium is manufactured by alternately stacking nonwoven fabrics (nonwoven fabrics for filtration) and fusion-bondable resin sheets and applying heat and pressure to the resulting laminate to fusion-bond the fusion-bondable resin sheets. In the filter element, the laminated filter medium is a cylindrical body whose peripheral wall is formed by the filtration surface of the laminated filter medium, and the laminated filter medium is disposed in such a way that the fusion-bonded layers of the filtration surface intersect perpendicularly to the top face of the cylindrical body. The filter element is manufactured by bonding the outermost layers of such laminated filter media to each other.
