Title:
LAMINATED INK JET RECORDING HEAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3196799
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a laminated ink jet recording head in which damage due to freezing of ink can be prevented by integrally forming a nozzle plate, a pressure chamber forming member and a vibrating plate in a laminar state.
CONSTITUTION: A cover plate 25 for sealing the surface of a common ink chamber 19 at a nozzle plate side is formed of a heat fusion-bonding film which has flexibility even at the time of freezing ink and adhesive properties of the nozzle plate 30 with a common ink chamber forming plate 18 and with a communicating hole 26 to connect nozzle openings 31. When a drive signal is applied to a piezoelectric vibrator 3, a vibrating plate 2 is so deflected that a pressure generating chamber 4 side is convex, thereby contracting the chamber 4. Thus, the ink of the chamber 4 is fed to a nozzle opening 31 via passage holes 9, 13, 17, 21 and 26, and discharged from the opening 31 as ink droplets.
