To provide a material for a bag filter excellent in filtering speed, filtering efficiency and dimensional stability by solving a problem of the low dimensional stability peculiar to polyphenylene sulfide fibers.
A laminate contains a felt-like structure constituted of fiber comprising an aromatic sulfide polymer and having finness of 0.1-5.0 denier (d), tensile strength of 3.0 gf/d or more and a dry heat shrinkage factor(SHD) of 10% or more. The laminate has yield strength of 0.01 kgf/cm.(g/m2), burst strength of 0.2 kgf/(g/m2) or more, a density of 0.01 g/cm3 or more and a dry heat shrinkage factor at 180°C of 1.0% or more. The laminate comprises aromatic sulfide fibers and has the dry heat shrinkage factor at 180°C of 1.0% or less and the tension between a calender roll and a taking-up roll is controlled to a proper value.
