Abstract:

To prevent flashover, improve voltage-resistance performance, and miniaturize a capacitor and increase its capacity by setting the interval of an internal electrode on the same plane a specific number of times larger than the thickness of a dielectric layer and specifying the distance to an edge part out of the edge part of an external terminal and a floating inner electrode closest to the external terminal.

The interval of inner electrodes on the same plane is set to 2.7-20 times larger than a thickness (t) of a dielectric layer 1 being located between a first inner electrode group 2 and a second inner electrode group 12 that oppose each other. Also, a distance D between an edge part X of external terminals 4a and 4b and an edge part (a) closest to the external terminals 4a and 4b out of floating inner electrodes 12a for constituting the first inner electrode group 2 of the outermost layer is set to 0.4-1.4 mm, thus preventing the overlapped area of the inner electrode from decreasing (the overlapped area of the inner electrode cannot be increased as compared with the size of the dielectric 1) and preventing a flashover from being generated between the edge parts of the external terminals 4a and 4b.
