Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp cover for protecting an illumination lamp that prevents blackish and nonuniform decoloring and extremely improves light transmissivity for light emission from a light source and is capable of maintaining light emission with afterglow by itself even after the light emission from the light source is stopped.SOLUTION: A lamp cover 1 is formed from a polycarbonate resin mold containing at least a luminous phosphor that emits fluorescent light of long afterglow when an ultraviolet ray and/or a visible light beam is absorbed, and a light diffusion agent. In the case where the lamp cover 1 of which the thickness is 0.8 mm is used, an illuminance reduction rate is equal to or lower than 20% in the case where the lamp cover is not used. The lamp cover 1 is manufactured by a step A of mixing PC resin pellets containing the light diffusion agent and the luminous phosphor under coexistence of oil and obtaining pellet-like PC resin compounds through extrusion molding at a cylinder temperature of 235°C to 250°C; and a step B of performing extrusion molding on the PC resin compounds at a cylinder temperature of 235°C to 260°C or injection molding at 240°C to 280°C.
