Abstract:
PURPOSE:To permit the safe operation by displaying the lighting-up state of a lamp for air spoiler in accordance with the variation of the brake application state so as to be varied asynchronously with the lighting-up or lighting-out of a brake lamp and allowing the succeeding automobile to recognize the brake application state. CONSTITUTION:On the back surface of an air spoiler 10 installed onto the rear part car body 2 of an automobile, a lamp 3 for air spoiler which is equipped with a proper lighting device such as LED is installed in the hollow inner part. The lamp 3 is divided into a plurality of lamp elements continuously installed in the lateral direction of the air spoiler. The lighting or flashing display is controlled by a controller according to the brake state. For example, in the brake operation, said display is performed a little delayed from a brake lamp by the turning-ON signal of a brake switch. Further, the brake treadling degree is represented by the variation of the lighting-up area according to the output of a brake stroke sensor. Further, in the sharp brake application, lighting-up is carried out simultaneously with the operation of the brake lamp.
