Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp with an outer pipe such that the outer pipe mounted on a ferrule is not apt to crack even when strong turning force operates on the outer pipe and the outer pipe mounted on the ferrule neither falls from the ferrule nor idles.SOLUTION: A lamp 1 with an outer pipe includes a lamp body 3, a ferrule 4 having a column 12 in which an insertion hole 11 supporting a pinch seal part 8 formed on one end side by insertion is formed, and the outer pipe 5 which houses the lamp body 3 by mounting a one-end opening part 21 externally on the column 12. On a cylindrical inner wall surface 23 of the outer pipe 5, a parallel constriction part S symmetrical about a diameter is formed at a part opposed to the column 12 to draw a chord on the cylindrical inner wall surface 23. The column 12 is so sectioned corresponding to an inner surface shape of the constriction part as to support the outer pipe 5 unrotatably, and the part opposed to the constriction part has a recessed part 20 for locking a filler charged between itself and the outer pipe 5.
