To provide an LAN facsimile adaptor to attain the interconnection among a facsimile communication equipment, an exchange and a LAN line.

The adaptor is provided with a DID recognition section 1, an inter-exchange information recognition section 2, a DP signal/PB signal recognition section 3, a facsimile transmission section 4, an LAN address management section 5, an additional information recognition section 6, a line number management section 7, an exchange transmission section 8. As a line interface the adaptor incorporates a terminal function and an exchange function and connects the exchange and the facsimile equipment. Then the LAN interface is built in to be connected to the LAN line to output the facsimile data received from the exchange to a facsimile equipment of its own equipment or send the data to the LAN line. The facsimile data received from the facsimile equipment of its own equipment are outputted to the destination facsimile equipment via the exchange or outputted to an opposite facsimile equipment via the exchange.
