Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the same function as LAN without newly introducing LAN by using already provided PBX lines to form multidrop lines.

CONSTITUTION: A LAN system 10 consists of plural terminals 11, an already provided digital PBX 12 where they are stored, a multidrop device 18 connected to the PBX 12, and a multidrop LAN setting device 14. The multidrop device 13 forms multidrop lines for constitution of bus type LAN among plural terminals 11, and the multidrop LAN setting device 14 connects and disconnects multidrop lines to and from the digital PBX 12. Thus, the already provided PBX 12 is used to obtain the LAN system where data is communicated in real time.
