Abstract:
An electrical motor is provided for providing motive force to the landing gear of an aircraft for taxiing and ground maneuvers of the aircraft, for example by rotation of two or more wheels of a main landing gear differentially or in opposite directions. Optionally, rotational torque energy of the wheel is converted to electrical energy of a magnitude suitable for braking of an aircraft.
