Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lane keep system capable of giving more suitable steering torque matching with the purpose of a driver by securely and early detecting the purpose of lane change of the driver with a method in addition to the winker operation.
SOLUTION: A lane keep system having an own-vehicle lateral displaced variable computing means 1 and a steering torque giving means 7 has an operating action pattern parameter memory 3 and a driving action pattern recognizing means 5. In the case where a purpose of lane change is recognized by the operating action pattern recognizing means 5, applying of the steering torque in the lane changing direction by the steering torque giving means 7 is canceled. In the case where the device has a following traveling control means for traveling while following to a vehicle going ahead, the operation acting pattern is set in response to a judgment whether the following traveling control is operated or not, or the weighting of each operation acting pattern is changed.
