To provide a lantern capable of recovering a standing state by itself to be self-supporting even when it is temporarily fallen by receiving external force, and being effectively used in various fields such as funeral, lighting, advertisement and decoration.

The circular curved face of the radius of curvature of the convex curved face portion and the egg-shaped curved face of the bulging curved face portion of the lower end portion, keep the shape of the egg-shaped lantern, when the fire box (1) is directly fitted to an outer side of a peripheral edge (9) of the base (2), and set up while receiving upward tensile force. The lantern is tilted when the bottom face (15) is placed on a floor and pressed, but it recovers an original attitude by standing with reaction force received from the floor.
