Abstract:

To form one large-sized display screen by arranging multiple PTAs without abutting the tips of plasma tubes against each other.

A unit display module is configured by arranging a plurality of plasma tubes elongated in a first direction and filled with discharge gas in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and providing a plurality of pairs of display electrode extending in the second direction and arranged in parallel on the display surface side of the array surface of the plasma tube while spaced apart by a non-display region of a predetermined interval. In the large-sized display device having a configuration of a plurality of unit display modules arranged adjacently, the unit display modules adjacent in the first direction are arranged so that the sealed end of a plasma tube constituting one unit display module overlaps the sealed end of a plasma tube constituting the other unit display module, and the unit display modules adjacent in the second direction are arranged so that the outermost end plasma tubes adjoin in parallel with each other.
