Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a very large-sized image and to reduce the size of a device by feeding a 70mm film longitudinally so that eight perforations correspond to one frame, and performing photography and projection.

CONSTITUTION: The 70mm film after one shot is developed 2 and edited 12 and 13 on 35mm basis and special photographs 3 and 9, etc., are taken when necessary. The photography 3 is performed by composite photography of a subject before projection upon a special film. The photography 9 is for the composite photography of plural film picture. Then, 35mm positive film edition 13 is performed by a 35mm rush print 2 for edition and sound dubbing 14, 70mm negative film edition 15, and 70mm print development and printing 16 are executed to obtain a complete print 17. This is projected 18 by a projector on a screen S of 20×26m and an sound device generates sound effect. In this case, the 70mm film is fed vertically so that eight perforations correspond to one frame. Therefore, one frame is of 37×52mm size and the image on the screen is of 20×26m size.
