Abstract:
Disclosed is a laser coagulation system adapted for use in an ophthalmological treatment comprising an optical system including reflecting means (35) for directing a focussed laser beam toward a predetermined portion (34) to be coagulated in the eyeball (33) of a patient, and a manipulator (12) for generating a desired value representative of a desired position of the reflecting means (35) for thermal coagulation. The actual position of the reflecting means (35) is detected and compared with the desired value to derive therefrom a control signal, which activates means (93, 98) for driving the reflecting means (35) to a position corresponding to the desired value for thermal coagulation.
