PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency in cutting by forming the synthetic rubber masking member mixing a black oil dye on a metal member then by irradiating a laser beam on the zone to be cut of the masking member.
CONSTITUTION: The synthetic rubber masking member 3 mixing the black oil dye having good laser beam absorption coefficient is dried by forming it on the upper part of the metal member 1 of Al alloy, etc. A laser beam 2 is then irradiated with scanning along the zone 4 to be cut of the masking member 3. The masking member 3 on the zone 3a which becomes unnecessary by being cut is removed by separating by hands. In this way, the absorption coefficient of the laser beam is increased, so the cutting speed can be made faster. Consequently the cutting efficiency can be improved.
