Title:
LASER BEAM SCANNER MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2790446
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a laser beam scanner motor including a bearing having long service life and excellent in high speed and high accuracy rotation performance.
SOLUTION: A rotor 20 for mounting a polygon mirror is fitted over a rotary shaft 21 supported by a magnetic fluid bearing 22 comprising a radial sliding bearing 26 and a thrust sliding bearing 27 disposed coaxially at the opposite end parts in the protruding bearing supporting part 23b of a housing 23. Stator side motor part 25 and rotor side motor part 24 are disposed on the outside of the outer circumference of bearing supporting part 23b. The housing 23 is made of a nonmagnetic material while the rotary shaft 21 is made of a magnetically permeable material and the radial sliding bearing 26 is composed of a permanent magnet ring 29 also serving as a magnetic fluid sealing means. The thrust sliding bearing 27 has the function of radial sliding bearing and made of a sintered alloy to be impregnated with the magnetic fluid.
