Abstract:

PURPOSE: To detect the shift quantity of a laser beam interval and the shift of a scanning position by calculating the shift quantity of the interval between laser beams in a sub-scanning direction on the basis of the measured result of a time interval at every laser beam and detecting the presence of the generation of the shift of the reference scanning position of reference laser beam.
CONSTITUTION: At first, only laser beam 1 is allowed to light to perform scanning in the same way as that at the time of usual image recording and the time T1 from the rising b1 of the beam detection of a sensor B to the rising c1 of the beam detection of a sensor C is measured. Subsequently, only laser beam 2 is allowed to light and the time T2 from the rising b2 of the beam detection of the sensor B to the rising c2 of the beam detection of the sensor C is measured in the same way and the absolute value T3 of the deviation between the times T1, T2 is operated. Further, when the difference between the reference value of the deviation T3 in such a state that the interval between the laser beams 1,2 in a sub-scanning direction is normal and the actually calculated deviation T3 is calculated as the value corresponding to shift quantity, the shift quantity of the interval between the laser beams 1,2 is calculated.
