Abstract:
To simplify the piping system of a laser transmitting device.
This laser transmitting device has a hollow waveguide (a first light guide) 58 and an optical fiber (a second light guide) 120 which are optically located coaxial. Laser beams irradiated from the irradiating end 59 of the hollow waveguide 58 are guided into the incoming end 121 of the optical fiber 120. Gas is flowed in the hollow waveguide 58, and the gas flowing out of the irradiating end of the hollow waveguide 58 is blasted to the inserting end 121 of the optical fiber 120 to cool the incoming end 121.
