PURPOSE: To provide a laser beam welding equipment capable of controlling the heating of a base body by forming a nozzle of inside and outside housings adjustable in the axial direction, directing laser beams with an optical device, making gas flow toward the focus of laser beams and feeding a fine powder material which is mixed with a carrier gas from a gap between the inside and outside housings.
CONSTITUTION: A nozzle 20 is formed of an outside housing 30 and an inside housing 40 which is adjustable in the axial direction in relation to the outside housing. Laser beams 13 are directed up to a focus 15 which is positioned in the outside of the nozzle 20 along the axial line of the outside and inside housings 30, 40 by an optical device 14. The flow of gas is generated from the inside housing 40 toward the focus 15 of the laser beams by a gas feeding device. A fine powder material which is mixed with a carrier gas is fed from the gap between the outside and inside housings 40, 30 by the use of a powder feeding tube 53. Thus, a laser beam welding equipment wherein the nature of a weld zone is not changed is provided.
