Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam welding method using a filler wire with a preceding plate and a succeeding plate butted to each other, by which a sufficient welding strength can be obtained by refining the grain size in a heat-affected zone (HAZ).
SOLUTION: In the laser beam welding method using the filler wire with the preceding plate and a succeeding plate butted to each other, the ratio (Gap/DEPO) of a butt gap (Gap) between the preceding plate and the succeeding plate in the initial welding to the average width (DEPO) of a weld metal is defined as 0.3 to 0.8.
