Title:
LASER DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5648190
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
A deformable structure for supporting a laser mirror (24) comprises a block (30) having a rim (32) and a central post (34) joined by a first flexible membrane (36). To oppose tilting of the central post (34), the rim and post are joined by a second membrane (42) spaced-apart from and substantially parallel to the first membrane. Both membranes have boundaries where they meet the rim and post which are symmetrical about a common axis. Axial mirror movement is produced by applying an electrical signal to annular piezo-electric ceramic wafers 62,64.
