PURPOSE: To extend an operating time without auxiliary lighting, by using a liquid crystal display element characterized by low power consumption and relatively high transmittance with respect to visible light, and displaying the measured result in the visual field of a sighting spectacles.
CONSTITUTION: The output of a laser oscillator 6, whih performs pulse oscillation, is irradiated to an object by a transmitting optical system. The reflected light from the object is converged on a light receiving element 10 by a light receiving optical system. A mark line 15, which indicates a collimation axis of a sighting optical system is marked on a display element 3, which shows the measured result. A plurality of transmitting type crystal cells are provided at the upper part of the mark line, so that a polarizing plane is crossed with the polarizing plane of the transmitting laser light at a right angle. The transparent substrate is provided at the focal position of an objective lens of the sighting optical system.
