Abstract:
To provide a laser processing machine that can cut a sheet plate along an end part of a product with high accuracy, by displacing a laser beam from a center of an opening of a nozzle to a front side in a direction of a progress of cutting.SOLUTION: A nozzle that irradiates a laser beam through an opening is mounted on a tip of a processing head. Movement mechanisms 22 and 23 move the processing head along a surface of a sheet plate relatively to the sheet plate. A beam displacement mechanism (a galvano-scanner unit 32) displaces a position in the opening of a laser beam irradiated through the opening. A movement mechanism control part 505 controls the movement mechanisms so that the processing head is moved relatively in a first control cycle. A beam displacement control part 504 determines a direction in which the position in the opening of the laser beam is displaced from the center of the opening to a front side in a direction of progress of cutting, in a second control cycle shorter than the first control cycle, and controls the beam displacement mechanism so that the laser beam is displaced in a direction determined in the second control cycle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
