PURPOSE: To facilitate maintenance of a motor and make the rotation of a blower with excellent efficiency with no contamination of laser medium gas by externally providing a means transmitting rotary power to a blower by electromagnetic force.
CONSTITUTION: An induction motor 1 is provided on the outside of a laser container 2, further an eddy current coupling part 15 for transmitting its rotary power to the blower impeller 7 located in the inside of the laser container 2. A drum 4 is mounted on a rotary axis 3 of the induction motor 1, further an inductor 5, an exciting coil 14 for torque control and a fixed magnetic pole 6 are arranged on the other side of the laser container 2. Or, a drum 50 is arranged on the low pressure side and an inductor 51 and an exciting coil 52 is arranged on the side of atmospheric pressure so as to reduce a heat generation source on the lower pressure side.
